Before your first hand
Is this mahjong solitaire?
No. This is four-player Hong Kong mahjong: draw and discard tiles, make sets, and build a winning hand. You play with three computer opponents.
Can I learn if I have never played?
Yes. Learn to Play starts with a single suit and one set, then adds a new idea at each of eight rungs. Your first Calling hand is guided.
Is the app free, and can I play offline?
The 1.0 release is free for iPhone and iPad. Lessons and games work offline, without an account or ads. Game Center is optional for achievements.
Which mahjong rules will I learn?
Hong Kong Old Style, with a minimum of 3 faan and a limit of 13 at the full table. Earlier practice rungs introduce the rules gradually. Seven pairs is not a winning hand in this ruleset.
